Rental Terms

All rentals are subject to availability
Full payment is required before equipment is released
Hire period starts at collection and ends on return
Late returns may incur additional daily charges

Cancellations & Refunds

14-day statutory cooling-off period applies to bookings where hire has not started
Full refund for cancellations 14 or more days before hire
50% refund for cancellations 7–13 days before hire
25% refund for cancellations less than 7 days before hire
No refunds for no-shows, late cancellations, or early returns

Your Responsibilities

You must be 18 or over to hire equipment
Use all equipment only for its intended purpose
Treat all equipment with reasonable care
Report any loss or damage immediately
Return equipment clean, dry, and complete where reasonably possible
Bring valid identification at collection
Adhere to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code

Damage, Loss & Deposit

Normal wear and tear is expected
You are responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond reasonable wear and tear
Repair or replacement costs may be charged
Lost or stolen items may require a police report
A refundable security deposit may be required
Deposits are returned after inspection
Deductions may be made for damage, loss, or excessive cleaning

Collection & Return

Equipment must be collected and returned at the agreed location and time
Check all equipment at collection and report any issues immediately

Safety

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks
You are responsible for using equipment safely
Suitable insurance and appropriate preparation are strongly recommended

Damage & Replacement Costs

Minor Damage

Damage beyond normal wear and tear

Repair cost

Major Damage

Serious damage affecting use or safety

Repair or replacement cost

Replacement

Items that have been lost, misplaced, or are no longer usable

Security Deposit Information

Deposit Amount

A refundable security deposit may be required. The amount is determined based on the equipment hired.

Payment Timing

The deposit is required before equipment is released and may be held via your payment method in accordance with the booking platform’s procedures.

Refund Policy

The deposit is refundable subject to inspection of the equipment and may be reduced to cover loss, damage, or excessive cleaning.

Additional Information

Deposits are returned after the equipment has been inspected and confirmed to be in acceptable condition. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
